Day 6 of the 24 beer of Christmas is Juleøl, an Herb and Spice Beer, from Riverlands Brewing Company in St. Charles, Illinois. A great design on the can for the season cannot save this beer from the fact that it is using spices to get the holiday cheer inside. Why do breweries continue to make this connection?
Juleøl wasn’t spiced as poorly as Gingerbread Quad, the beers of Christmas day 3 beer, but nonetheless it was spiced. There are some good qualities to this beer and there are no faults in the brewing process, I just can’t handle cinnamon in anything but my oatmeal. Then, then there is ginger. I can only think of MaryAnn. I would not have this beer again. Enjoy!
