My location to Wisconsin affords me the chance to pick up a lot of beers that are not widely distributed, as the border is a mere 90 minute drive. Also, if you have been following along, you will have noticed that I have offended mentioned Wisconsin as a hot bed of American craft beer activity. No, I am not biased, they make good beer.
Night Train, by O’so Brewing Company, was scored on a recent trip to the dairy land. This marks about my sixth different beer from O’so: some up, some down, but enough good ones to keep my interest and trying to flavors.
Night Train is a solid porter with roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee notes that each share the spotlight, are each mellow enough to not stamp out the other, and are almost blended to perfection. The taste on this beer is about as good as you can get with my rating showing that fact. I would drink this over and over, even in the same evening, it is that well done of a porter. Enjoy!
Aroma: 9, Taste: 10, Look: 9, Drinkability: 9, Overall: 9.3
Useless Fact: Dentists have recommended that a toothbrush be kept at least 6 feet (2 m) away from a toilet to avoid airborne particles resulting from the flush.
