Cascade Kriek Ale

How often is it that by happenstance we come across an American craft beer that we have been wanting for a long period of time? Not often. I thought so.

My first stop in Florida was at Knightly Spirits to pick up a few of the locals. Great store with a solid selection of bombers and 750s as well as singles of any beer in the store. To my surprise I found a hand full of Cascade Kriek Ale (2009) by Raccoon Lodge and Brew Pub sitting on the shelves. I was lucky to find out they distribute to the pacific coast and Florida.

No way better to start the trip off with a just purchased bottle. So Cascade Kriek Ale quickly became beer number 215. The tart cherries are the center of this really solid offering that I am hoping to get the chance to go back and get more. The wife liked this one as well. The tart is at a perfect level to keep you coming back and I will. Enjoy!

Useless Fact: An airplane uses more fuel flying at 25,000 feet than at 30,000 feet. The higher it flies, the thinner the atmosphere and the less atmospheric resistance it must buck.
