Elysian Bifröst

Thursday night American craft beer night at my house sometimes brings out the good and the bad in craft brewing. There are always those beers in the cellar that, for me, come from a trade as an extra, but nonetheless they have to find their day in the sun.

Bifröst by Elysian Brewing Company was a beer that I was gearing up to not be pleased by. Luckily Bifröst, which is a winter warmer, and the reason I didn’t think I would like it, isn’t a winter warmer by the definitions that I am used to. It came out as an American pale ale to me and that is just fine.

If more winter warmers where like this, they would be back on the radar of beers that I like. Enjoy!

Useless Fact: Dead Egyptian noblewomen were given the special treatment of being allowed a few days to ripen, so that the embalmers wouldn’t find her too attractive.
