Two regular dudes who happen to be huge fans of American craft beer.

Warning: American craft beer shortage. Yep, you guessed it: my cellar is getting low. Oh, I have plenty of beer in my cellar, but those are bombers and, to be honest, during the week by myself, I don’t really like to throw one of those back by myself. I drink because I like the aroma, flavor, and experience, not because I want to get lit. Besides, I am past 40 and hang overs at this age are ridiculous. Saying that I am a wuss might not be that far off course.
I had to hit up my stash of 12 ounce reserves in the cellar to come up with Phat Abbot Dubbel by Arbor Brewing Company. Why does this throw up flags? This is the beers that I want to wait to the right moment to partake, not be forced because of my own silliness.
Why not go buy more beer? I do buy beer but it is usually singles or bombers, more bombers, to share on Thursday nights with the group. I am a beer geek but not a beer snob, but I have become a beer buying snob: I only like to buy singles of any type. Once I have tried the beer once or more, then, and if I like it, will I purchase larger quantities. Of course this is starting to backfire on me.
Phat Abbot was a little over year old; actually it has been in my possession for thirteen months. The beer doesn’t really have that Belgianess like I expected. The candy sugar came through but I thought it was a bit on the light side of flavor and aroma, maybe making it more drinkable. Not trying to knock Arbor, but just another “average” beer. Enjoy!

Useless Fact: Betsy Ross and Elvis Presley were the only real people to ever have been the head on a Pez dispenser. The Elvis Pez dispenser was named “Elvis Pezly.”
