Two regular dudes who happen to be huge fans of American craft beer.

It is finally here: my first brewing day! I am making a kit. To be exact a Brewer’s Best Robust Porter. I am sure the kit will taste fine as long as I do a good job with my sanitation. Over everything, that is my main concern.
I have two glass carboys, obviously I will only be using one today, but making sure something is clean and sanitary through that damn little neck is a little bit tough for me. No, I know how to clean stuff and I have the proper supplies, I just like get my hands dirty to clean something and I can’t with glass.
I did clean both of them the other day with PBW. air jordan 11 femmes I filled them both up with water, placed the appropriate amount of PBW in them, and let them sit for about 24 hours. With the bottle brush everything that I did notice on the glass (looked like white deposits) came off without any fanfare. I will sanitize the one today with one-step. I plan on using starsan in the future as I just prefer liquids.
Here are the stats on the side of the kit: 25-29 IBUs, 1.051-1.055 original gravity, 5.0%-5.5% ABV. As you can see by the picture above that the difficulty of this kit is easy. Perfect for my first brew.
As the thoughts of what I have to do today to try and make it successful rolls around in my head, rest assured I will be taking pictures and either sharing tonight or tomorrow morning. I might need a beer before I start to calm myself. 🙂 Enjoy!
