Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron

Dogfish Head Craft Brewery I guess could be considered an American craft brewing icon. They are on top of their game, usually making beers that aren’t quite normal, letting their artistry come through. They have a very wide distribution, that I know they are actually decreasing, but still there are a lot of people in the United States that can get their beer.

With that all said, I can say that I am not one that is on the Dogfish Head band wagon. The few beers that I have tried from them are via transactions or someone shares. I don’t know if I have ever purchased one off the shelf. I don’t plan on changing that philosophy anytime soon.

Palo Santo Marron is a twist to an American brown ale that doesn’t deliver for me. Some of the flavors and aromas are quite unique but overall I just don’t see it coming together well and it isn’t all that drinkable.

To sum it up: nice try, just a bit all over, and an average beer that has almost no drinkablility for me (from all the sweetness my lips started sticking together, turned me off). Hope I am not sounding to critical but, alas, it is only my opinion. Enjoy!

Useless Fact: If you go blind in one eye you only lose about one fifth of your vision but all your sense of depth.
