Two regular dudes who happen to be huge fans of American craft beer.

All good things and all bad things eventually come to an end. Luckily my bad stretch of not blogging and discussing recent American craft beer tastings is over (hopefully). Time has been very short both for reviews and the blog.
This time around I chose a beer from the cellar that I found recently on a visit to Minnesota. LTD Series – Recipe 02, from Full Sail Brewing, is an . I am so-so on ambers as the style is so large and just a waste land of beers that don’t fit somewhere else. Off went my review with that bit of apprehension.
Recipe 02 poured with a nice, huge plume of tan foam onto of a clear, amber colored liquid. The taste and aroma was malt forward with sweet, caramel malts. The hops has a clean but justifiably nice role in the beer: not over the top but enough to help balance. The taste does bring out a bit of toffee. Medium body and backend loaded carbonation help to make this beer quite an easy drinker. If not for the ABV, then this beer would be sessionable. Enjoy! Aroma: 9, Taste: 8, Look: 9, Drinkability: 8, Overall: 8.4
