For some reason I am not on the greatest of moods today so this will be very short and to the point.
American craft beer number 344, Fred by Hair of the Dob Brewing Company, is an American strong ale. The bottle had to be a good year old as Hair of the Dog no longer keeps track of the batches on their website, so I am going by how long I have had it in my possession.
Definitely strong with caramel and toffee emanating in the taste and aroma. Citrus and other fruits (dark) also make an appearance in conjunction with an alcoholic presence. The high ABV and strong, sugary malts make this not so smooth to drink. It isn’t supposed to be but I would like it to be a bit more so. Enjoy!
Aroma: 8 (25%), Taste: 9 (25%), Look: 8 (15%), Drinkability: 7 (35%), Overall: 7.9
Useless Fact: During World War I, Woodrow Wilson’s wife grazed sheep on the front lawn of the White House.
