Two regular dudes who happen to be huge fans of American craft beer.

I originally purchased the four Mad Hatter beers from New Holland Brewing Company to share on a Thursday night with Rich, Chuck, and Steve. Unfortunately plans don’t always work out the way you plan. Thursday night beer night was cancelled last week because of prior engagements by most and next few weeks I am not going to be around. I am an old IPAaphobe: I don’t like old IPAs as the hops start to drop out.
Instead I started on the first with my wife: Oak Aged Mad Hatter India Pale Ale. The oak definitely comes out with this beer. The aroma and taste do not cheat. I don’t know how long the beer was aged on oak but the hop profile just happened to be very resinous, making me think that it had been there a while.
Oak Aged Mad Hatter was a good beginning to the set of four special releases. I look forward to the others. Enjoy!

Useless Fact: The Indian epic poem the Mahabhrata is eight times longer than the Lliad and the Odyssey combined.
