Stone El Camino

I didn’t do a review of my latest beer as I was pissed off coming home from the doctor. No bad news. I just had to waste an hour of my life waiting for the doctor which ended in about a four minute consultation. Why can’t I charge him for my time?

By the time I got home it was getting on the later side of things, for me, as I like to have my beer for the evening before 8:00pm. No such luck.

I have a few bottles of Stone Brewing Company beers in the cellar, so I figured it was time to crack into that group. El Camino is what I ended up pulling out. It is a collaboration between Stone, Firestone Walker, and 21st Amendment. Three really good breweries with Firestone Walker leading the pack in that group.

I don’t know what I was in the mood for but El Camino didn’t scratch the itch. Dark, roasted, with some hops on top (as was expected) but the combination just didn’t seem to pull together as perfectly as most of these brewers’ beers. I would probably have rated in the mid-seven range. Enjoy!

Useless Fact: There are 10 human body parts that are only 3 letters long (eye hip arm leg ear toe jaw rib lip gum).
